Clinique 3 Step Kit review

April 4, 2012

3-Step Introduction Kit Skin Type 4

So I’m sure we’ve all read about how great Clinique products are. They are a big name in the skincare/make-up world and I have always wanted to give their products a try but been a bit too scared to fork out so much money for it not to work.

I finally took the plunge and went for a skin consultation in which I was told what I’ve always known – I have very oily skin. The bestΒ productsΒ to treat it were offered to me and I decided it would be more sensible to buy an introduction kit in type 4 – Very Oily.

Review:

So after 2 months of using this kit I have to say it was a HUGE let down. My skin is possibly shinier than it was before and I am definitely not happy with the results. I was really hoping that this would be THE ONE but alas, the search must continue. I have no clue why it would make my skin produce more oil because the face wash was nice and gentle and the toner was just about strong enough to make my skin feel nice and fresh.

I do think the ‘oil-free’ lotion was just too thick. It could just be that I have the most stubborn skin known to man but either way. I cannot recommend this to anyone with oily skin because it just isn’t worth it. You might as well stick with something simple that you can pick up in Superdrug or Boots.

Verdict: Not worth the Β£20, you can give it a try but I’m not sure it’s worth the risk πŸ™

But must say that my freebie, 7 Day Rinse Off formula Scrub, was actually pretty good.

7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula

Not too rough but grainy enough to let you feel it scrub away the dead skin and unclog the pores. At Β£17.50 a pop I do think you can find a cheaper alternative. I’ll see what I can find for you πŸ˜‰
