So as you know, I’ve been using my inbetweeners, PanOxyl and I’ve got my face to a somewhat decent state again after trying out Clinique.
Now it’s time to try something new so it’s on to Boots No 7 Beautiful Skin regime for Normal/Oily skin.
So the newly improved skin care regime ( I had previously been eyeing their ‘Balanced results’ range) has deliberately chosen to get rid of the whole toner step that most companies have been happily working with. Now I’m a fan of toners but have come to realise that it’s not always necessary. If a toner’s too harsh and strips your skin dry then you’re actually more like to get oily skin. So yeah, I use it when I think it’ll help but my money situtation would love it if I left toners behind.
Anyway, rant over, back to Beautiful Skin. I was in Boots while they are doing their 3 for the price of 2 promotion so I picked up the Foaming cleanser, Purifying Exfoliator and Day Cream. I would have got the night cream but I just don’t have much faith in the lotions already from trying it on my hand plus the pots are tinchy considering the price :/
The range promises to help your skin act ‘Normal’ and none of the ingredients seem harsh (Witch Hazel is in most of the stuff for oily skin).
So yeah, I’m starting today using just the face wash to see what effects it has on its own. I’ll use that and the exfoliator for a week and then I’ll add the day cream.
Can’t wait to let you know how it goes 🙂
