I do love me a freebie!
So thanks to the lovely people at Boots, I have a few Santuary Spa products to test out over the next few weeks.
First up is the one thing I never ever use – a face mask!
As a girl with oily skin and pores that also get dirt in them, I feel like I should really probably maybe be using a mask every week but I’ve never had an AMAZING experience with one. Scrubs have always been my shining light in skincare.
Anyway, let’s see how the Sanctuary Spa worked for my stubborn skin 🙂
Review: For anyone who doesn’t know Sanctuary Spa’s special point – all products are from a popular London spa which is run for women by women. So it’s no surprise that their products are very popular on the high street.
For a weird reason I’ve never really tried out the brand even though I see continuously great reviews about them.
The thermal clay mask is a favourite in the spa and in stores so it’s fitting that it was my first 😉
I’ve used face masks before and while I didn’t really care too much about them, this previous knowledge allowed me to apprecitae just how luxuriously thick the mask is.
It feels amazing! Just as you realise how smooth it feels, the real magic starts. I think everyone can appreciate how nice a warming clay mask is and this beaut of a mask does not hold back.
It almost felt like it was pulling out the dirt from my skin. You can feel it working and that is one of the best things any skin product can boast.
If you like masks then I’m sure you must have tried this baby out and if so please do tell me what you think about it. I might just be getting excited cause i haven’t use a mask in about 5 years :/
The fact this mask is for only skin makes me think that i’m missing out on a tool that could – when added to my regime – FINALLY help me start to control the oil on my skin.
The only downside was that i used the mask on a Sunday night and all the spots drawn up where making themselves known during the week. Tip – Maybe use it on a quiet Friday night in!!
So I’m off to buy myself a few face masks and you can rest assured I’ll let you know how they work out.
Verdict: If you want a home spa luxury as well as good skin care, this is worth a try. It didn’t win a 2011 cosmo beauty award for no reason!
