I don’t see myself as a big beauty know-it-all in any way, shape or form but throughout our little lives we pick up and learn a few tips along the way.
After seeing quite a few bloggers share their tips and findings, I thought I might start adding my two cents into the mix.
Now something I’ve been doing since I was 14-years-old is making the most of the many mascaras that are available in the world. There are a rare few which manage to give you length, volume and curl all in one stroke, but for the most part that doesn’t happen.
I started to find that I had a favourite mascara for each key thing, so I decided to start layering them on top of each other. Apparently, the term for this in the beauty world is a mascara cocktail.
Myself and one of my besties perfected our formulas back in the day and have been pretty much loving life ever since.
As I already have curly lashes (as you might be able to see in the pics above) , I always start with the lengthening mascara. Then I use one for volume and finish off with whatever previous mascara I’m waiting to run out.
It’s a nice little cycle that sees one step in for the other around every three months and means I’m also using each mascara till it runs out. Nothing I hate more than product wastage!
Obviously when you layer up mascara there is a huge chance on clumps, but that can easily be avoided if you just limit yourself to a couple of strokes per mascara. So have you ever tried a mascara cocktail?
