The weather in London might be a crazy mix of sun, sleet and rain in one day at the moment. But I would like to remind you all that summer is officially here.
While England might not be a reliable source of glorious sunshine, I know most of us have a few weeks booked somewhere else in the world to help us top up on some much needed vitamin D.
So when the lovely lot at Adore Me asked me to share my beach musts, I was more than happy to start getting prepped for my quality time with the burning ball in the sky.
As someone who doesn’t tan much, and somehow managed to forget how to swim, I don’t spend a large amount of time on the beach. So when I do, I like to make it count.
Beachwear is more than standard flip-flops and shades. You need to come correct for the ‘gram, ha ha.
So naturally I’m more than happy to buy a swimsuit that might not leave the best tan lines. Who am I to resist making a fun statement? Adore Me have a lovely selection of swimsuits and two-pieces that cater to your style and shape, check out their Instagram page for a few cute ideas!
But seeing as I actually want to soak in some sun this summer, it’s all about the bikini. And when it comes to two-pieces I do like to stand out with a vibrant bandeau bikini.
However, I also love a cute halter neck from time to time, while I live in my Ipanema flip-flops by supermodel Giselle Bundchen.
I have been eyeing up those lovely round beach towels for a while now and writing this post gave me the push to finally order one. Until that arrives, my touristy blue towel bought in Australia will have to do.
It’s not just the outfits that need to be on point. My beach beauty must haves include everything from mascara and nail polish and deodorant to this cute after sun lotion by Sothy’s that I was gifted in Corsica.
Last but not least, I love to have a good read. Usually some good old chic lit but if I really want to have a lol, something like Suri’s Burn Book does the trick.
What are your #beachdaymusts?
