Nearly a year ago, I got the chance to visit the paradise retreat that is The Byron at Byron.
Based in Byron Bay, Australia, it only took one visit for this to become one of my favourite places in the world.
Yeah, I love it THAT much.
So as I continue to get depressed by the throwback snaps popping up on Facebook and Timehop, I thought I would tell you all why you need to book a stay at this incredible resort.
1. All the celebrities love it
Nothing makes a luxury resort seem more legit than if they have some celebrity fans. And with the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Sam Smith and Orlando Bloom on it’s list, it’s easy to see why The Byron at Byron has been a popular destination for over ten years.
Sam Smith even chose to celebrate the end of his world tour by spending a week at the resort with his friends and family!
2. The rainforest, darling
The resorts strength – in a land famous for it’s wonderful beaches – is the fact that you are literally living in the rainforest.
The resort is nestled in 45 acres of subtropical rainforest with suite designed to maximise that feeling throughout your stay.
Insects and birds chirp away as if they were on loop on a secret CD player somewhere while the resort also has an dreamy look out point over Tallow lake.
3. All the food
Australia is basically foodie heaven, but Byron certainly delivers the freshest of fresh when it comes fruit, vegetables and all the meat.
I pretty much inhaled every meal and you will totally do the same. I’m getting sad just thinking about all the yummy meals I never got to try. Sob.
4. The most relaxing vibes
The resort is all about letting go off your daily stress and chilling the hell out, so they provide everything that you need to do that.
From the most amazing spa to daily morning yoga classes, you are given all the tools you need to get in tune with mother nature again.
Nothing beat the amazing board walk paths through the trees that made you feel like you were Tarzan or Mowgli as you meander through the woods like a boss.
I also loved the super kind staff who were able to help me out with any query.
5. To the beach
While this resort is all about the rainforest, I am happy to report that you have direct access to the most amazing white sand beach.
Tallow beach is actually one of the calmest beaches in Byron meaning you won’t have to share it with too many other tourists.
If you go at the right time on the right day, you can actually have the beach all to yourself. THE DREAM.
