Going to the cinema while the sun is shining seems like such a waste of a day, don’t you think?
So naturally I’ve fallen in love with outdoor cinemas lately. My first experience of an open air cinema was during my time in Australia, but thankfully London has some options in the summer that are totally worth a visit.
Westfield Cinema at the Night Market
Taking place alongside the London Evening Standard Night Market in Perkfields, Kensington Palace Gardens, this open air cinema has been showing everything from La La Land to Moana.
This absolute treat of an outdoor cinema is actually going to be shut down this weekend (June 18th) but if you can get a chance to go then do it!
Plus, you just know to keep an eye out for any other Westfield hosted screenings in the future because they definitely make sure it is a memorable one!

Lost Format Society – Croydon
As a Croydon girl, I am very happy to see something this fun and cool happening outside central London. And based on the roof the Centrale shopping centre car park, no less.
I had the time of my life taking part in a Dirty Dancing dance lesson before getting comfy in the deck chair and blanket to watch the classic film against the backdrop of Croytown’s sunset skyline.
As well as Dirty Dancing, the rooftop cinema will also be showing films like La La Land, Pulp Fiction, The Goonies, The Big Lebowski and Top Gun.
Their rooftop bar is open to anyone and everyone on Wednesday to Saturday, from 17:00-23:30, so you can still go and check it out even if you haven’t bagged tickets.
