Taking inspiration from the iconic film, Forest Gump, Bubba Gump is all sorts of fun and the food is pretty good too!
WHERE: 13 Coventry Street, Piccadilly Circus. The restaurant is just about a minute away from the tube stop in the Trocadero building.
It’s easy enough to find but don’t be afraid to ask for directions or use good old Google maps.
VIBE:The restaurant is a tribute to the film and the American South that totally reflects the film’s setting in Alabama.
The decor is super bright and full of posters and movie quotes and the staff are always really friendly.
My favourite thing is the way you get their attention – you have a sign that say Run and Stop. You can guess which one let’s them know you need assistance.
FOOD: The menu is all about seafood and is obviously all American, but there are a lot of other options if that doesn’t float your boat.
But this restaurant is all about seafood, and they go to town with the 20 types of shrimp meals and then some.
There are so many different combinations that I always try to test out a different meal every time I go there.
PRICE: The food is the same large portion as the American restaurants so they totally get away with charging between £4 – £15 for appetizers.
The main meals around £15 to £20 and they are always perfectly presented on the plate. It’s so easy to get carried away and order more than you need so just bare that in mind.
I also love the fact you get to keep your cup if you by the signature drinks or cocktails. Nothing beats a nice souvenir!
