The next place getting a shoutout in the Restaurant Diet journals is Céleste at The Lanesborough London.
The Lanesborough is one of London’s most expensive hotels so obviously their restaurant is the perfect place for some boojee dining.
WHERE: Céleste is the ground floor of The Lanesborough which is right by Hyde Park Corner.
Every time I come out of the tube stop I always take to wrong exit so just be aware of that, lol.
The best part of the location is the fact you could easily head over to Hype Park afterwards to check out a famous part of London and chill in the sun.
VIBE: This place is all about being fancy so make sure you are dressed to impress. When I went along it was early afternoon so we were sat with business men holding meetings and ladies of leisure who were simply lunching away their Wednesday.
The decor is old-fashioned lavish and the bright natural lighting means that it is perfect for taking Instagram worthy snaps. These things are important, considering the cost of the meal!
FOOD: As is always the case with fancy London restaurants, the portions are pretty small.
Presentation is ten times more important than where guest leave with a full stomach but let’s be honest, if you wanted cheap and hearty then you would go somewhere else.
The food (especially the mackerel) was quite tasty and thankfully not bland like some of these places can be.
PRICE: With these types of hotels, I only ever make my way over when there is a deal of some sort to help make the visit as kind to my bank account as possible.
Loads of foodie apps offer the ‘3 courses and a glass of champagne for under £40’ deal so keep an eye out.
Otherwise you can rack up a pretty hefty bill if you just go in and order with your belly instead of your brain. Check out their lunch menu HERE.
