VIVA LAS VEGAS.
While it’s best known for its nightlife, I can happily tell you the Vegas is actually a pretty decent foodie spot as well.
I finally made my way to Sin City last year and instead of blowing all my dollar in the casino, I was throwing my cash at the chefs and restaurant staff.
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and these bad boys will certainly help you start your day of partying and relaxing in style.
Here were my favourite not-so pricey breakfast spots…
Hash House A Go Go
The best thing about eating in America is the large portions and Hash House delivers on that front and then some.
You’ll be set for the rest of the day after eating ALL THE CARBS in the form of waffles, flapjacks, scrambles and benedicts.
And I’m not the only one who thinks this is a breakfast hotspot, it was the most recommended place by my friend who’d been to Vegas before as well.
HEXX kitchen and bar
This is the spot to hit when you want a slightly healthy and super filling breakfast.
Partying until the early hours works up a pretty amazing appetite and I look satisfying my hunger beasts craving with a protein omelette or the amazing Hexx benedict – poached eggs, scalloped potatoes, canadian bacon asparagus, hollandaise.
Plus it has a great vibe and was right opposite our hotel – the majestic Bellagio – meaning it is right in the middle of the strip.
I don’t know about you but I could live off pancakes.
So naturally IHOP is on my list because where else can you get every pancake option your heart desires, hello red velvet pancakes!
Plus there’s a whole other non pancake menu to cater to the fools who don’t wanna chow down on fluffy, sweet delights.
With a name like Eggslut, this place is just dying for a sassy post on the ‘gram.
Thankfully, the menu isn’t too big because that helps you focus on just how delightful the options actually are.
You might wanna opt for The Slut – a coddled egg on top of smooth potato purée, cooked in a glass jar topped with salt and chives and served with slices of baguette.
Serendipity 3 (special mention)
We accidentally stumbled upon this absolute gem and it was love at first sight.
The restaurant is cute and quirky with lovely staff and a very nice vibe, but sadly it’s been closed down now.
They have other branches across the States so maybe see if you can find your way there on another trip.
