A year in the journalism industry has thought me one thing – I seriously need to give my feet regular TLC.
We’ve all seen the pictures of lovely celeb ladies with horrible feet due the constant days of running around in heels and I don’t want to ever join the funky feet club.
So I’m always picking up any foot pampering products that pop up in the office and during one beauty sale, I spotted the Margaret Dabbs Foot Hygiene Cream.
The cream is described as being “specifically formulated to address common complaints relating to the skin of the feet. It is the perfect hygiene measure for sports and sweat prone feet and is suitable for men and women.
Foot Hygiene Cream has been expertly formulated to eradicate the symptoms of sore, scaly, dry, cracked, blistered skin and discoloured nails. Once applied, the Foot Hygiene Cream will work to help eliminate symptoms of athlete’s foot and odour.”
Review: While my research revealed that Margaret Dabbs is a bit of a foot expert loved by celebs, I wasn’t really expecting much from this cream.
I’m so NOT sporty and I (thankfully) don’t have sweaty feet so it almost seemed pointless to use this cream. But thank goodness I did because my feet are feeling so loved because of it.
The cream is thick and kinda hard, but when rubbed onto skin it’s perfectly absorbed and provides a great moisturising barrier for the day.
I always wash my hands after putting it on because it does have a menthol smell and it’s not really something you want to rub into your face or hair as the day progresses.
Within a week, I could already see the benefits to my feet and I’m not bragging (okay, yes I am) but when I went to get a very rare pedicure the other day, I was praised for not having any hard skin. Thank you Margaret Dabbs!
I admit it do sometimes remember to give my feet a buff every now and then with a foot file from The Body Shop but it’s the foot cream that’s been doing all the work for the past two months.
Verdict: While I probably need to try out hydrating foot cream, this cream definitely made vast improvements to the skin on my feet and it’s totally made me a fan of Margaret Dabbs products. Obviously if you have sweat prone feet or do lots of sports then use this but if not have a look at the range for what suits you best.
