I have always turned to Nair when it comes to hair removal creams. I think I was 14 when I first wanted to try something other than shaving and Nair came up over and over again as a reliable brand.
So when I was given the chance to review some of the products from their amazing new range, I was definitely excited to test them out during the past few weeks of summer sun.
I was mainly intrigued to see if the addition of the beauty world’s recent fave, Argan Oil, could actually make a real difference to an already trusty formula.
The answer is yes.
Review: The first thing I noticed about this product is the fact it actually smells rather nice. Anyone who has used hair removal creams in the past will know that the smell is not something you usually shout about.
This could be due to the ‘odour-control’ technology that Nair says is part of the product, but I also think that the inclusion of the always fragrant Argan Oil, Jojoba oil and cocoa butter may just have something to do with it too.
While this does stay on okay during your shower, I still prefer to just apply it out of the shower and wait the alloted time. It’s what has always worked best for my hair and it only takes 20 minutes altogether so I don’t mind. A 20 minute routine for 7 days of silky smooth legs is more than fair if you ask me.
I managed to get 2 full uses on my legs from just one 200ml tube, which I think is pretty good. And I also use any leftover for my underarms, because there is nothing I hate more than wasting products.
This was definitely the best hair removal cream I’ve ever used because the lovely moisturising ingredients were really effective. My legs were so soft and smooth afterwards that I almost felt like I could just go out with moisturising!
For this reason, I’ve made this shower cream a VIP because I will totally be using it before holidays or weeks when I know I’m going to have my legs out 24/7.
Luckily for me, my hair is quite fine so even when it starts growing back on the fourth day, you can’t really tell for another week or so anyway. But obviously results will vary according to your hair type.
Verdict: A gorgeous smelling hair removal cream that does everything it says on the tin. I reckon this could be the start of a whole new trend in moisturising hair removal and Nair have once again proved that they are THE brand for those perfect summer legs.
The Nair Argan Oil range is available in stores now, with the Shower Power Cream at £6.69 RRP.
